About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Designer to join our team on a 6-month contract basis, with the possibility of multiple extensions and potential conversion to a permanent role. This position is ideal for a strategic thinker who is passionate about creating beautiful, functional mobile experiences rapidly. The Senior Product Designer will play a critical role in shaping the future state of our client’s mobile offerings, focusing on horizon thinking and blue-sky innovation. The role requires a hands-on approach, leading design from concept through execution within native iOS and Android environments. The successful candidate will work closely with research and product teams to develop compelling prototypes, influence product strategy, and craft engaging storytelling for executive stakeholders.
This position offers flexibility with options for remote work within the US, provided the candidate can work EST business hours. For local candidates, a hybrid schedule requiring three days a week in the office at Malvern, PA, or Charlotte, NC, is available. This role provides an exciting opportunity to impact high-level product direction within a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess expert-level proficiency in Figma and rapid prototyping tools, with a proven track record of leading final design outputs showcased through a polished portfolio with recent case studies. Strong command of design libraries and systems is essential, along with familiarity with generative AI prototyping tools such as Figma Make, Loveable, or v0, which are highly valued. The candidate should demonstrate strategic thinking combined with strong visual execution skills and a passion for user research and data-driven design.
Additional qualifications include a solid understanding of iOS and Android design principles, experience contributing to and maintaining design systems, and excellent communication skills capable of managing and socializing ideas with stakeholders. A big-picture mindset, combined with the ability to craft compelling stories and prototypes, is crucial. Candidates should also be comfortable working in a collaborative environment that values creativity, speed, and user-centric insights.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design process from concept to rapid execution within native mobile environments (iOS and Android).
- Leverage Figma expertise to create interactive prototypes, utilizing components, variants, auto-layout, and other advanced features.
- Collaborate closely with senior researchers to incorporate client insights and generational data into design decisions.
- Develop compelling storytelling and prototypes to pitch ideas and influence product direction at executive levels.
- Contribute to and maintain design systems, ensuring consistency and scalability across projects.
- Participate in research activities, synthesizing user data to inform design choices.
- Stay updated on industry trends, especially in generative AI tools, and incorporate new techniques into design workflows.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, managing feedback and aligning on project goals.
